Today is a momentous day, as DoFlame announces the release of his debut LP along with the incredible single and video for “Fastlanes.” The song has been developed over years and represents Mateo Naranjo’s most accessible and epic track to date.
Two years after the release of his DIY debut “DoStroy,” the Brampton artist earlier announced news of a signing to Blue Grape Music out of NYC and dropped sizzling first single “Can’t Stand No One“ in July.
Today, we finally receive “Fastlanes,” a post punk anthem and groove-laden banger built around a cutting-yet-danceable riff and the artist’s hip hop influenced cadences.
“Fastlanes is one of my favourite tracks on this project,” he admits. “I wrote the melody when I was a kid and it always stuck with me as a song I wanted to do. Took forever to get the right version. Some turbulence with my friends adjacent to other shifts in my life had knocked me into the right writing headspace and in the end that’s what it became about.”
DoFlame’s LP BENT drops October 11. The band is also hitting the road this Fall, including dates in North America and Europe. You can check all of that out and pre-order the LP via offleashworldwide.com and bluegrapemusic.com.
